Birthday Freebies

It's been a while! Needless to say but I'm gonna say it anyway, I've been busy with the holidays and other life stuff. But January is my birth month, so I thought I'd post my list of birthday freebies!

Who doesn't like free stuff? I love them! There are many generous companies that give away free things, especially for our birthdays. You can Google "birthday freebies" and find many many websites that list these companies. The catch is finding the ones that have locations around you!

This is a short list. I've gotten birthday freebies from these companies more than once, so I say they're awesome. These are straight up free stuff (no buy one entree get the second free), except for the last two: Disney and CVS. I added those two because I think they're good, at least to me.

Here goes, and Happy Birthday!

If you haven't already, register and sign up for the My Starbucks Rewards program. On your birthday you'll get a free drink (any size) or food and 15% off in the Starbucks Store online. They have a promo going on right now for new members. If you sign up by Feb. 7, 2014, you'll get a free drink. Score! Learn more about the My Starbucks Rewards program because there's a Green and a Gold Level and rewards for earning stars.

Join the Pancake Revolution and you'll receive free food right away, on your birthday, and on your 1-year anniversary of joining. They'll send you a coupon for a free Rooty-Tooty pancake entree ($7.99), but you can use it on a higher priced entree and only pay the difference (that's what my local IHOP told me). I suggest to sign up soon instead of on your birth month, so that you'll get your free anniversary food on a month other than your birth month (stagger the freebies!).

Pasta Pomodoro
Join their eClub and receive a free entree for your birthday. You'll also receive emails from them with coupons and news. If you opt out of the emails, you opt out of your birthday freebie, so deal with the emails. They are not too frequent, which is good. And if you sign up using a Gmail account, Gmail will sort out your promotional emails for you. Yay!

Red Robin
The Red Robin Royalty program has a lot of different rewards for members. You'll get a free full sized burger on your birth month every year. You don't even have to print out a coupon. The freebie goes into your Red Robin Royalty card automatically.

Which Wich
The Which Wich (it's a sandwich shop) Vibe Club will send you free food for joining and on your birthday. You'll have to sign up for their emails, which don't come frequently (yay) and is sorted by Gmail automatically.

Nothing Bundt Cakes
Join their eClub or Circle and you'll get a free bundlet on your birthday. Also, follow them on Facebook because they do Buy 1 Get 1 free promotions. Then, get a punch card from your local store and earn more freebies. If you don't have any Nothing Bundt Cakes locations near you, I'm so sorry. They're stuff is YUM-MY. The perfect fix for a sweet tooth craving.

Be a Beauty Insider for Sephora and you'll get a free birthday gift every year. It's usually a box of small sized products. Last year was from Benefit and this year is from Make Up Forever. This year I got last year's Benefit box again. I'm guessing it's because I went to a Sephora store inside a JCPenney. So my tip for you is to go to an independent Sephora store. They'll send you a happy birthday postcard telling you to get your freebie (and on it, it says substitutions may occur), but all you have to do is go up to the counter, mention your birthday freebie, and present your Beauty Insider card. Free makeup!

Disney Movie Rewards
If you buy Disney movies (DVDs or Blu-Ray discs), I hope you know about the movie rewards program. On your birthday, they'll send you a code for movie reward points. Accumulate the points (you also get them on the discs that have the Disney Movie Rewards star) and exchange them for products or services or sweepstakes entries. I think this is a great program because I started building my Disney princess/classic movie collection. I exchange the points for limited edition rewards.

If you join the CVS Extra Care program, you'll get $3 in Extra Care bucks for your birthday or $3 off any purchase, which is what I got this year. I used it for a Maybelline 24-hour lipstick!
