This is from The New Zealand Herald:
"The lawsuit, filed as a three-page form complaint, says her death was caused by "reckless driving" by Brandy. It seeks US$50 million in compensatory and punitive damages.

A misdemeanor offense carries a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a US$1,000 ($1,459) fine."

The news above is about Brandy and the car crash she was involved in. Unfortunately, the lady died. I have not found any news from American sources about the $50 million lawsuit, though. So I don't know where the Aussies got this piece of information. But if it's true, it's sad. It's taking advantage of Brandy's status as a celebrity. $50m vs. $1000 and one year jail time. Okay, so if the jail time was to be taken out, then the fine should go up. But $50m??? $1000 to $50 million? Are we being serious here? Yea, it's sad that the lady died but would $50 million really compensate for her death? Would any amount compensate for anyone's death? Geez...where did they get this piece of information? Well, I'm waiting for American press to release information about any lawsuit if any.

In other news, did ya hear about Harry Potter? Daniel Radcliffe appearing in a London play. Look it up yourself.
